I had this stupid idea to run a blog that’s notes from a future web developer.

Anyway, played with SkyDrop again. Neat tech. Sits on top of Zode.ds in the view stack and helps map stuff into the Visual Object Model (VOM).

I have lots to write.

I may blog a lot.

That was weird. Back from a trip to my in-laws. About 130 miles.

On the way there our EV did about 4.2 miles/kWh. We started at 100% and ended with 9%.

On the way back we got 4.8 miles/kWh. Started at 100% and ended with 22%.

No A/C or heating on either way. Similar conditions.

I’ve never known a discrepancy like this. Did we just have a strong headwind?

Did someone say or boost something here about links to HTML IDs not being reliable? I’m sure I saw something but can’t find it.

I know this was all very well considered. But I find it baffling that WordPress always comes to the conclusion that the best thing to do would be to reinvent the wheel… and the tyre… and the axle, creating maintenance burden on its own developers; making people that already understand wheels learn the new wheel; and hampering developers that learn the new wheel because their wheel is different to everyone else’s. And for what benefit? I don’t get it.
