I’m sure this works for some people. But it drives me bananas and stops me reading interesting stuff.
It’s like:

This post on deep-dive perf improvements in #WordPress’s back end is great.
I worry that people doing this important back-end grinding are few and far between and with the focus on JS increasing in the project people that understand these topics and do this work will continue to decrease.

I find the implementation of the command palette in WordPress pretty confusing.
There’s some good stuff here but these feel like “micro commands”.
Like most of the things it lets you do should just be easier to do without the command palette.

How about a “Solo business” plan with all the business plan features, but without the constant marketing/prompts/nags to upgrade to a “team plan” with “team features”.

Back from a holiday in France. The ferry is definite the way to travel. And the activity centre at the Souleuvre Viaduct was TONS of fun.
In general though: I still basically hate long, far away holidays. Such enormous amounts of faff and stress, and for what? To be somewhere where there’s a greater selection of cheese and bigger insects?
I don’t get it.

EV bore content
Yay! We did an EV holiday in France!! A minor charging issue on the way home. But the car is such a delight to drive. Just cruised through the Normandy countryside eating up the hills, even with a full load and AC on.
Love that I can do web stuff sometimes.
I realised this week that in Europe, electric cars measure efficiency totally differently to in the UK. They do kilowatt-hours per 100km, rather than miles per kWh. It's all backwards. And hard to translate in your head.
There are calculators online, but they all have gross cookies and ads on them.
So I made my own – with some other EV calculations too!
