Trying to get the #WordPress REST API to let me activate/deactivate a plugin using login cookies and a nonce.
Still getting 401 responses – unauthorized.
Is this simply not possible? Is it required to have an application password or something?

I'm not sure I like this now that I've build it into Turbo Admin. Will have to see. (There's some niggles to fix first too)
It may be that it's better for where you have plugins that insist on having their own top-level menu item.
Reminder: The hidden items AND the open/closed state is saved not just within one site, but across all sites (if you use the browser extension).
So you can, for example, hide Yoast SEO *everywhere*!
Kinda sad that the BBC isn't showing any of the olympic breaking. I was excited to see some of that!
I did a holiday!!
I never announce this until it’s over. But we’re home. So yay for beaches and beach lodges and games and ice creams.
I'm toying with the idea that, if you have a command palette, you may not need all the menu items. So maybe Turbo Admin should be able to hide menus… ?
(On all of your WP dashboards, of course!)
@iambateman Welcome, Stephen. I don’t think I followed you on Twitter, but nice to have creative devs around!
US Zelda fans: In BotW and TotK, does Zelda have a posh British accent? Or do you get a different voice?
This is so much silly fun! https://social.lol/@triptych/112913467110890930
Some more tabs closed…
The ninth set of ten links as I close down my open tabs on my mobile. Games, databases and online virtual computers.

(puter.com is really cool! But how does it make money? Who is paying the bills?)
(I also found https://windows93.net which is very silly)
Oh dang, I got well behind on closing tabs.
I owe you/myself for yesterday and today after this!
The eighth set of ten links as I close down my open tabs on my mobile. Graphic novels, excellent articles, pen pals, PHP maps, and updates that I hope I did!
We say “Top of the hour” for xx:00.
What would the bottom of the hour be?
This is probably getting boring now…
The seventh set of ten links as I close down my open tabs on my mobile. WordPress search, recipes, and word games!
The sixth set of ten links as I close down my open tabs on my mobile. This is a pretty boring one. But there's a couple of real gems!
Last night I saw Shakespeare! We saw a company called The Handlebards (who cycle from gig to gig) perform a hilarious production of A Midummer Night's Dream.
Four women playing all the parts with rapid-fire costume changes, some modern twists, and all "in the round" in a beautiful local park.
A really fun evening.
Found this in my open tabs and it looks REALLY useful.
A reference of the order hooks (actions and filters) fire in #WordPress core.
Starting early with my old tabs today.
The fifth set of ten links as I close down my open tabs on my mobile. Just. Lots. Of. Random. Stuff. Today.

I have some free time this morning, so more may follow on soon!!
The fourth set of ten links as I close down my open tabs on my mobile. Games, keyboards, static PHP builds, and The Death of Twitter!!
The third set of ten links as I close down my open tabs on my mobile. Webcomics, business models, dev tools, and nerdy PHP and WordPress stuff.
(I actually wrote this yesterday to get ahead. Glad I did as I didn't have time today!)
This is the perfect description of bored parent life on The Vergecast:
“You’re in this headspace … where you’re just exhausted and you’re like ‘I want to play a game. I don’t want to use my brain at all. And I’m going to need to play this game for somewhere between 1 minute and 5 hours.’”
I’m have bad news for @imdavidpierce
I can vouch for the fact that this is still true when they’re age 12!!!

(Someone will likely now tell me all the awful things about Tapo gear. Security and privacy and icky stuff. Right?)
